The Flower Bed - An Animation Title Card

In this short title credit animation, I aimed to draw attention to a slower paced visualization. I took inspiration from older animation styles such as cel animation, with a calm colour palette to go along with the theme of spring flowers. With animation techniques developing greater in the modern day, it can often be overstimulating, especially seen in modern children’s shows that use fast paced shots and cuts, as well as bright contrasting colours. By slowing down and fleshing out these scenes further, I aim to allow easier comprehension and understanding of what is being shown on screen. This animation also was a way to study and experiment with the movement of limbs similar to the early cel animation styles seen with large amounts of fluidity. Utilizing the leaves and stems of each flower characterization, it allowed a unique and interesting way of displaying this limb fluidity, that can also often be seen within real life vegetation as well.
