Adriane Vant Erve

Biography

Adriane Vant Erve (née Kozicki) is a fibre and mixed media artist from the Canadian prairies. Her work focuses on themes of the domestic, the body, emotion, and abstraction. She often makes use of repeating line and form and encourages the viewer to quietly interact with the pieces.
Adriane graduated with a BFA in Fibre Art from Alberta University of the Arts and earned a Governor General’s Academic Medal in 2019. She also holds a degree in Interior Design from the University of Manitoba. She is currently enrolled in the MFA program at York University. She has exhibited at VivianeArt in Calgary, and Alberta Craft Council in Edmonton. She received a Canada Council Grant for an art residency at the Caetani Centre, Vernon, B.C. Adriane lives in the Greater Toronto Area.
