The concept for this project was to design a vinyl sleeve and vinyl record design for a vinyl single. Much like the previous study, I heavily tied in my audio work to this project, as the release in question is one of my own, produced and released under a pseudonym. The audio work was self-produced; intertwined with field recordings and found sound, and the photography used for the album’s artwork was also self-produced. The photography edited to create the final image.

There was both a front and back cover designed for this project. Figuring out the specific layout for the back turned out to be more tricky than I anticipated, as I ended up tweaking and changing small details about it for a while until I was satisfied with the final result. Eventually, I got the right shape, which is meant to mimic a window I photographed for the album artwork of a different project. Some of the work-in-progress versions are shown below. Most of these iterations bring a mix of major changes, such as the size and placement of the boxes, though there are also some subtle changes. Though very subtle, the front and back covers have a ‘ghost image’ over the black of a faint and dark version of the other side’s image.
