Eugene Pace

Biography

Eugene Pace is a Filipino-Canadian filmmaker with 8 years of grassroots youth mentorship experience in Toronto. His work focuses on narratives that explore moral issues faced by teenagers, such as race, family dynamics, and male vulnerability. Growing up in a low-income neighborhood, Eugene’s films often reflect the real-life struggles of those around him, using fictional dramatizations. His style blends poetic and neo-realistic approaches, creating fable-like moments with spiritual undertones. Eugene has also produced documentaries for non-profits, highlighting the experiences of youth in Ontario. Recently, he facilitated a summer internship to teach high school students filmmaking. Eugene is passionate about indie filmmaking and youth mentorship, and is in his final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production at York University.
