Jeshua Hamel

Biography

Originally from Ottawa, Jeshua Hamel is a fourth-year Film Production student at York University and an emerging multidisciplinary artist with a focus on filmmaking. His creative interests extend beyond film into traditional and digital drawing, painting, animation, and Photoshop-based design. Jeshua’s film work often explores or blends elements of horror and comedy, while his visual art has lately been drawing on the aesthetics of retrofuturism. Within his film practice, he regularly takes on multiple roles, including directing, editing in Premiere Pro, writing, and designing posters for his own projects and those of others in the program. Constantly developing his craft, Jeshua continues to refine his artistic voice while embracing experimentation, collaboration, and creative growth.
