Biography

Hello, I am Maral Devedjinejad, a current fourth-year Media Arts student at York University. I was born in the USSR, where I grew up surrounded by a diverse mix of cultures and people. I began my career as a visual artist, practicing painting, creating murals and drawing illustrations. Heavily inspired by cinematography, I enjoy storytelling through art and film, using visual images, moving pictures, colour, and sound to express my feelings and discover the meaning behind my creativity. My work focuses on filmmaking, including storyboarding, sound editing, video editing and colour editing. I am experimenting with film, animation, and digital apps and programs for my projects. I combine visual creativity and technical skills with my eagerness to keep learning.
