Matt Yaciuk

Biography

Matt Yaciuk is an aspiring Canadian creative with a focus on screenwriting, filmmaking, and professional storytelling. Developing an interest in creative writing and storytelling from a young age, Matt has always found joy in exploring fiction, often immersing himself in different media and fandoms, or creating his own. In his teenage years, he discovered the art of writing for the screen, unlocking the ability to combine his love for writing and film, starting to teach himself formatting and structure during his time in high school before enrolling in post-secondary education. Currently, he is a third year student at York University in Toronto, majoring in a Bachelor of Fine Arts program for screenwriting. He often finds his stories focused on character and the relationships they build, usually in surreal settings with fantastical obstacles. He is consistently trying to take on more collaborative projects in an attempt to expand his horizons as a creative writer and filmmaker.
