Asma Sultana
Biography
Asma Sultana is a Bangladeshi-British interdisciplinary artist and an MFA candidate at York University, where her research is supported by a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship. Her practice employs hair and thumbprints as primary mediums to investigate identity, diaspora, and ecological integrity across the Anthropocene. With an academic background from Oxford University and York University, Sultana has exhibited internationally, creating work that advocates for biocentric care and a deeper understanding of our intertwined histories.
